Donation Policy

AI for Altruism (A4A) gratefully accepts monetary donations of any size through the following methods:

• Online Credit Card Transactions: Secure payments processed through our website.
• Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT): Direct deposits to our account.
• Checks: Checks drawn on U.S. banks, mailed to our address.

All donations are converted into U.S. dollars upon receipt whenever possible. While A4A primarily accepts liquid asset donations, exceptions—such as gifts of real estate or stock—may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to Board of Directors approval.

A4A is committed to using all donations effectively to advance our mission of fostering equitable access to artificial intelligence (AI) technology for the greater good.

While unrestricted donations provide the greatest flexibility in addressing needs, we welcome donors to express preferences for how their gifts are used. We strive to align funding with donor interests in ways that maximize impact while maintaining operational integrity. Final allocation decisions rest with A4A’s leadership to ensure strategic, mission-driven use of funds.

A4A values a diverse community of supporters who share a commitment to ethical and impactful AI. We accept donations from individuals and organizations with varied backgrounds and perspectives.

By accepting a donation, A4A does not endorse or condone a donor’s unrelated actions or viewpoints. Instead, we focus on how contributions can further our mission. All donors agree that their gifts will be used in alignment with A4A’s mission and values.

While we welcome broad support, A4A reserves the right to decline contributions in cases where accepting a gift would violate legal or regulatory requirements (e.g., funds tied to criminal activity, sanctions violations) or compromise our mission or organizational values (e.g., contributions that create ethical conflicts or reputational harm).

We are deeply grateful for our donors' generosity and the impact their contributions enable. Every donation—large or small—helps create opportunities, resources, and initiatives that advance our shared vision.

AI for Altruism (A4A) is a registered 501(c)(3) public nonprofit organization in the United States. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. A4A’s tax identification number is 33-1444035.
