AI for Altruism (A4A) accepts monetary donations of any size via the following methods:

• Online Credit Card Transactions: Secure payments processed through our website.
• Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT): Direct deposits to our account.
• Checks: Checks drawn on U.S. banks, mailed to our address.

We strive to convert all donations into U.S. dollars upon receipt. A4A generally does not accept non-liquid asset donations, such as real estate or stock. However, exceptions may be approved by our Board of Directors when deemed beneficial to our mission.

All donations to A4A are unrestricted. This means that while donors may express preferences or desired outcomes aligned with our mission, funds are not subject to binding agreements dictating their use. Donations are used exclusively to support our mission of fostering equitable access to artificial intelligence (AI) technology and harnessing the power of AI for the greater good. Allocation decisions are made by the A4A team to maximize impact.

We strive to cultivate a broad and diverse community of supporters united by our inclusive mission. We welcome donations from individuals and organizations with diverse backgrounds, recognizing that our donors may have varying perspectives and values. By accepting a gift, A4A does not endorse or condone a donor’s unrelated actions or views. Instead, we focus on how their contribution can further our mission. As part of their gift, donors agree that their funds will be used in alignment with A4A’s mission and values. Donations are used exclusively to support our mission of fostering equitable access to artificial intelligence (AI) technology and harnessing the power of AI for the greater good. Allocation decisions are made by the A4A team to maximize impact.

In some cases, A4A may choose to decline a donation. While we aim to welcome all supporters, we reserve the right to refuse donations under the following circumstances:

• Legal Concerns: Donations suspected to be criminally obtained or that may violate sanctions or other laws.
• Mission Impact: Contributions that could significantly harm our ability to execute on our mission or compromise our organizational values.

For controversial donations, our CEO consults with the Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and select advisors. Decisions to decline a donation are typically made by the CEO, with input from the Board in particularly complex cases. When necessary, legal counsel is consulted to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. By accepting a gift, A4A does not endorse or condone a donor’s unrelated actions or views. AI for Altruism (A4A) is registered as a public 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States. Contributions to A4A are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
